Sony is a Hindi language general entertainment channel based in India. The channel was launched in October 1995 as a part of Sony Pictures Entertainment and is owned by Multi Screen Media Pvt. Ltd. (MSM, formerly SET India Private Limited).

The channels airs the most popular reality TV shows Crime Patrol and Kaun Banega Crorepati. Sony is also home to the longest running crime based TV show CID, which has completed over 1000 episodes so far. The channel also airs dramas Amita Ka Amit, Bade Acche Lagte Hai and Kehta Hai Jee Le Zara.
